Cassia Thompson is a New York-based actor from Dallas, TX. Cassia graduated from the BFA Acting program at Webster University’s Conservatory in 2016. She received additional training in text work, voice and speech, movement, basic hand-to-hand stage combat, and dialects as an acting apprentice at American Players Theatre in 2018.
Cassia was born with an artistic soul. From an early age, she was writing her own stories, competing in school poetry competitions, studying visual art, and even indulges in dance from time to time. But beyond everything else, Cassia has a passion for language and an affinity for classical text and picking up dialects. She has been able to pursue these passions by performing many leading and supporting roles in plays by William Shakespeare, Eugene Ionesco, Timberlake Wertenbaker, and Lauren Gunderson at regional theatres across the east and midwest.
Though her career is just beginning, Cassia has shown much promise. She has been described as “a great young actress” by Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s Artistic Director, Rick Dildine. “Cassia has a razor sharp mind. She is smart. She is funny. She is superb when it comes to classical language.” To learn more, please visit the news page of this website.
